The fox wants the little prince always to visit him at the same time ─ to turn the visit into a ritual. The little prince asks the fox what this ritual would be, and the fox responds: 'Those [rites] also are actions too often neglected [...]. They are what make one day different from other days, one hour from other hours.' Rituals are temporal techniques for housing oneself. They turn being-in-the-world into a being-at-home. They are to time what things are to space. They stabilize life structuring time. They are time architectures. They thereby make time inhabitable; they even make time something that may be entered, like a house. Today, time lacks a solid structure. It is not a house but a wild torrent. There is nothing that gives it stability. Time that rushes off is not inhabitable.

El zorro desea que el pequeño príncipe le visite siempre a la misma hora, que haga de la visita un rito. El principito le pregunta al zorro qué es un rito. A lo que el zorro responde: 'Es algo también demasiado olvidado [...]. Es lo que hace que un día sea diferente de los otros días, una hora de las otras horas'. Los ritos son técnicas temporales de clausura. Hacen del ser-en-el-mundo un estar-en-casa. Son arquitecturas del tiempo. De este modo, hacen que el tiempo sea habitable, incluso transitable, como una casa. El tiempo de hoy carece de una estructura sólida. No es una casa, sino una corriente. Nada la detiene. El tiempo del apresuramiento no es habitable.

With Rewind ─her exhibit comprising 3 black and white photographs, two pictorial installations, and three oil paintings on paper─, Chilean artist Andrea Breinbauer reflects on analog and digital imaging technologies, the visual saturation of the present, and hyperconnected life. Based on the ludic contrast between technological elements created by hand in an act of resistance against the de-materialization of virtuality, the artist has put together an objectual and pictorial stage that she has also photographed fragmentarily.
Rewind, en español rebobinar, retroceder o, simplemente “volver atrás”, es el título de la exposición de la artista chilena Andrea Breinbauer, quien mediante 3 fotografías en blanco y negro, 2 instalaciones pictóricas y 3 óleos sobre papel reflexiona sobre las tecnologías análogas y digitales de la imagen, la saturación visual del presente y la vida hiperconectada. A partir del contraste lúdico entre elementos tecnológicos realizados manualmente como una forma de resistencia a la desmaterialización de la virtualidad, la artista armó una escenografía objetual y pictórica que además fotografió de manera fragmentaria.
